WDA 2019 Summer Doubles League - Details

  1.  Format - most likely we will have different divisions - based on the team’s dart averages
    1. It’s a Round Robin League where each doubles team plays each of the other teams in your division.  Each match consists of 9 doubles games.
    2. You play all 9 games with the total wins determining the standings.
    3. You alternate 501 (straight in/double out) and cricket games.  501, cricket, 501, cricket, etc.  The 9th game is a choice between the 2 games.
      1. Team with the fewest points for the night picks the final game.
      2. If teams are equal in points, then winner of the cork decides the game.
        1. Home team corks first.

  1. Scheduling
    1. For the busy, summer season, we use a completely flexible schedule.
    2. You are scheduled to play one team each week.
    3. The captains must contact each other to agree on the details.
    4. You can play whatever day and time that works out for the 2 teams.
    5. You can play anywhere you agree to – any bar or even your own home (as long as it is a proper setup).
    6. If you’ll be away, plan ahead & schedule your match for that week ahead of time.
    7. If you are going to be away/unavailable to play for a certain week, you can organize to play that match ahead of time, or later in the season.

  1. Corking
    1. You always cork to see who starts the 1st game.
    2. The loser of the prior game starts games 2 – 10 (no corking)…Mugs Away.
    3. If it is tied 4-4, then you cork the 9th game.  Otherwise, the team who is behind chooses which game and starts the final game.

  1. Scoresheets   (print your own copies –or– copies will be available at Lina’s Dart shop)
    1. Use the 2 sides of the scoresheet to record all of the usual achievements
Ton-80, Quality, Cricket Marks, High Out, Whitehorse, Deadeye, etc.
  1. Use the top half of the “180’s/Quality/Marks” area for one player and the bottom half for the other player.

  1. Fee Payment
    1. To cover the awards, the fee for each player is $20   ($40 per team).
    2. Payment must be received by July 1st, or your team forfeits.

  1. Stats and Awards
    1. We will have the usual weekly stats – with season ending awards, pins, etc.
    2. Take a picture of the signed scoresheet and send it to Brad Rouillard.
    3. Email a copy to [email protected]  (email works best for me)
  2. Dart Connect
    1. As some teams may not have a tablet, DartConnect is not required.
    2. If it is available, please use DartConnect to make the scoring easier.
      1. You will need a ‘premium’ membership to be able to use Dart Connect as a scoring app.
    3. In any event, the scoresheet is mandatory and is the final word on all stats and standings.
